Why people choose water dispensers?

As we all know that water is an important component for human body therefore no one can ignore the significance of consuming safe drinking water. More than 50% of the human body is made up of water.

In order to purify water it is treated to kill off harmful bacteria and parasites. But just killing bacteria and parasites are not enough. Water contains several other impurities such as copper, lead, aluminum, pesticides and so on even after water treatment.

Therefore, chemical such as chlorine is used during the water treatment process.

Water dispenser plays a very important role in water treatment. It not only helps in removing these impurities but enhance the taste of the water.

How does Water Dispenser Purify Water?

Water dispensers installed in workplaces and public places generally supply cold water as well as hot water. Normally, there are two separate taps – one is Red tap and another in Blue tap. The Red tap supplies hot water while Blue tap supplies cold water. In latest model, the Red tap normally contains a form of lock which should be disengaged to prevent accidents.

High-end water dispensers which are directly connected to water supply may have one or more of the given features:

Reverse Osmosis Filter– Reverse osmosis (RO) technology was developed in around 1970 but its implementation in water dispenser is started in the last few years. It is a simple process that can effectively filter dirt and sediment as well as removes both organic and chemicals (herbicides and pesticides) and inorganic metals such as mercury and nitrates contained fertilizer. Industrial-grade RO filters are effective in removing bacteria; however, the filters in a water dispenser vary in effectiveness.

Carbon Block Filter– It is highly effective in dealing with dirt and sediment as well as good at removing chlorine. Best quality water filter with very fine activated carbon filters are also effective in removing several kinds of bacteria. The practice of using carbon in cleaning water is thousands of years old.

UV Lamp– It is very effective in killing bacteria.

As we know there are two types of water dispensers- bottled and bottled dispenser. Both of them have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages of Bottled Water Dispensers:

  • Portable- It can be placed anywhere according to your own convenience if it does not contain heater or cooler.
  • No need to be worried for replacing water filters.
  • Flexible- It can supply mineral water, distilled water or RO water.

Disadvantages of Bottled Water Dispensers:

  • If water bottles are not available, then it may be delayed in feeding water and require extra charges in delivering bottles.
  • It requires an extra space to store the bottles.
  • Installing a 5-gallon water bottle in correct position on the water dispenser is not a matter of jokes. Therefore, bottled water dispensers are not ideal for places with large workers.
